We have defined a computer and known it’s uses, now is the time to understand the types of computers that exit.
If you do not know what a computer is and its uses click here
Personal Computers
These are computers which are very common and inexpensive compared
with these other types of computers. They are usually used for playing games as
well as researching things online just like you who are using computers when
reading this post right now are doing.
Work Station

These are computers that are bit expensive compare with
personal computers and unlike them; these are usually used in developing
applications.
Mini Computers

These computers are mini complex; they have a relatively
powerful processor as compared to Work Station and Personal Computers. They are
capable of supporting up to 250 users simultaneously hence are good for use in
organizations and companies that need hundreds of operations carried out at the
same time.
Mainframe Computer

These are large size computers and are very expensive. They
are capable of supporting thousands of users at once. They are used for complex
mathematical calculations that effectively cannot be done by humans.
Super Computers

These are the most expensive of them all and by far the most
powerful computers on the planet. They are used to compute to thousands of
extremely complex mathematical calculations every second hence used in weather
forecasting, geographical coordinate calculations, electronic designing and
other dynamic calculation. These are very expensive such that they are mostly
used by large organizations like National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
